ABOUT SMASH


First launched in 1989, Smash Studios empowers artists to not only perform at the highest quality, but to also record, rehearse, showcase, shoot, and so much more. Originally located in New York City on West 22nd Street in the heart of Chelsea, in 2001 Smash Studios re-located and expanded in Manhattan to 307 West 36th Street (its present NYC location) on the 18th floor. In 2024 Smash Studios proudly opened full state of the art facilities in Chicago at 345 North Loomis offering the same pro top quality equipment and services that it has in NY for over 35 years. As Smash Studios has expanded and evolved it consistently lives up to its moniker, enabling the entertainment industries to make Smash Hits.

With over 30 years servicing the entertainment industries, Smash Studios is one of the largest performance and production studios on the East Coast and Midwest. With Facilities in New York City and Chicago, Smash’s performance and production facilities include:

Studios at Smash feature state of the art and “sought-after” vintage and modern professional equipment. Endorsements by infamous companies such as Hartke, Neumann, Korg, Sennheiser, Sabian, RCF, and Mapex, Chauvet, and many others compliment and immense backline and equipment arsenal that makes Smash Studios a staple in the entertainment industry for all level of performers and artist.

Over the years, Smash has been featured on TV shows including MTV’s Making the Band and other prime-time productions. The Village Voice voted it “Best Studio in New York” and Mix Magazine has dubbed it, “Best of the East”. Close enough to be in Madison Square Garden’s shadow in New York, and centrally located in the heart of Chicago Smash remains the epicenter for entertainment pre and post-production with a focus on music and is regularly utilized by GRAMMY® Award-winning multiplatinum superstars such as Jay-Z, Justin Timberlake, Rihanna, Harry Styles, Post Malone, John Legend, Miley Cyrus, P!nk, John Mayer, The Weeknd, A$AP Rocky, and many many more.
