Smash Studios has been offering unparalleled professional services to the music and entertainment industries for over 25 years. Designed and created in 1989 by original owner, Clay Sheff, on one floor at 132 West 22nd Street, the studio was expanded in 1993 to a second floor in the same location where Mr. Sheff created another arm of Smash, a pro high-end recording facility called Gallery Recording Studios. In 2001 Smash moved to it's current location, combined both businesses, and constructed a 10,000 square foot state of the art facility in the center of Manhattan 2 blocks from Madison Square Garden and Penn Station. Presently, Smash Studios is one of the most unique production facility in NYC, offering Audio Recording, Showcase Stages, Rehearsal Studios, Film & TV Production/Editing, and Dance Studios for professional entertainers, record labels, TV and Film, and aspiring artists. In 2012 Smash launched a full-featured audio/music rental division. Featured on numerous TV shows including MTV’S “Making the Band”, Voted “Best Studio in New York” by the Village Voice, named “Best of the East” by Mix Magazine and with hundreds of noteworthy clients, Smash secured its position as one of New York City’s top music studios. Smash has built it's stellar reputation on professionalism, solid corporate structure, honored relationships with world renowned manufacturers as endorsee (e.g.. Hartke, Neumann, Sabian, Sennheiser, & Yamaha), and planning for the best strategic services offered in the music/entertainment businesses, but the most important aspect to the Smash is it's philosophy to "make the customer happy". Smash looks forward to doing this for years to come.
